Heiney's Farm

“First off, thanks for the interest. AS far as more info, really we are still pretty fresh. I have always had a personal interested in 4 wheelers and OHVs. I have been “riding” this land for over 20 years, but have just recently (~2008) started opening it to others. We have dubbed the land “HeineyFarm“, and we started clearing “trails” and access with the help of family and friends. I have a primary job, and have a young family, so I do this on the side for fun. I still enjoy wheeling and meeting all the good people, and it is nice to have a “local” spot for this.

We are located in Roseville, Ohio (Southeastern Ohio) on private land and currently only open for planned events (ie not open everyday/every weekend). All upcoming events are posted on our homepage. We do have a HeineyFarm FB fanpage also, that announces events and you can watch videos from Heiney’s on YouTube.

Currently the area consist of 160+ acres of woods and open fields. We use this for hiking, camping, and OHV use. There has always been a strong interest in “off-roading” and the outdoors, so the intent is to extend this to public use through events.
Future plans include:
+ more trails
+ improved camping area
+ improved entrance
+ obstacle coarse for trail rigs
+ improved website, with possible forum for discussion

Our location has always been called “The Farm” by locals and families. Although we don’t grow any crops, we have been growing trails for a couple years now. We enjoy taking the time to get out and enjoy what we have locally.

Our trails are mainly focused on OHV, i.e. jeeps/etc. The existing trails have a little bit of everything, from mild to wild. With time we plan to establish more interconnection and increase trail coverage. The camping in the area is all “primitive” camping.

I hope that we will get a chance to meet in person and enjoy the outdoors of this great area.”

I have traveled to and through Ohio numerous times but have never even heard of Roseville but I will be checking it out on the map. It sounds like a great place and the pictures are great. I love squeezing through tight places just to see if I can. Thanks for the info.

When you have 5 or more bodies walking along side, watching your progress and spotting trouble ahead, you know there is some serious fun being had! Sometimes it’s almost as much fun watching as it is being behind the wheel. As a kid I was never much for taking risks. I have to tell you, owning a Jeep and being off road has changed that drastically. All I can say is I must have been pretty bored back then and sadly, I didn’t even know it.

I just moved from Oregon to Gahanna, Ohio. It’s still a ways to Roseville, but it’s a heck of a lot closer than Oregon. I’m new to off roading with my Jeep since I just bought it before I left Oregon to move 2/3′s across the US. I’m excited to find out that I’ll get a chance to check this out. The pictures and write up sound promising.
