I’ve been waiting for news of the winter Mudfest. We’ll get inside lodging though. I don’t think the tent will be enough. See you all there.

On the tail end of our honeymoon we stopped in New Orleans to see my outlaws, I mean inlaws! Couldn’t believe our luck when my brother-in-law told me about the Red Creek off-road park being open for the Thanksgiving weekend. I had convinced myself that it would be closed because of the holiday. Jill and I actually arrived a day early so we could get our visit in and still take time to go to Red Creek. Turned out to be a great visit, even though I was not looking forward to it. Great park and we have already made plans to ‘visit’ again after the first of the year. I can hardly wait.

A buddy of mine recently relocated to Southern Mississippi to open a new branch for his firm. He called to tell me about this park and told me I really needed to come for a visit and experience it. I’m always looking for an excuse to take a few days off so I’m flying down over the holidays. Can’t wait.

Hey Josh, you ain’t the sharpest tool in the shed now are you? You tell me about this site and then you go and imply that we’re the outlaws? And you’re using us as an excuse to hit the trails again? Good thing I like you or you could be in some hot water bout now!

We live just a few miles from Red Creek park so we take advantage of it as often as we can. Almost every weekend we have out of town friends and family who use it too. My wife tells me, often, that we should start chargining room and board and just hang out a sign. She’s kidding, I think!

I wonder if there is a way to find out if the 4×4’s, ATV’s and dirt bikes have their own sections of the park or if it’s a free for all. I prefer separation of the vehicles but that isn’t always the way of it. Last time I shared terrain I almost ran into a dirt bike. Could have been a bad scene but I stopped just short of contact.
