Badlands Off Road Park Race October 17, 2009

The Badlands ORV Park™ is a privately-owned tract of about 800 acres in western Indiana, about 30 minutes south west of Lafayette. It is literally a smorgasbord of off-road riding: sand dunes, pea gravel hills, bottomless mud, the tightest off-camber woods trails, extreme rock crawling, shear drop-offs, hood-deep water, stream crossings, etc. You name it, it’s probably here. On October 17, 2009, the Badlands will be having their next off-roading race so get your Jeep in tip top shape and check it out! Contact Information for Registration can be had by contacting:

"You're telling me it's got four wheels, two seats and goes faster than the speed limit? Good, I'm driving."

  1. I live in Illinois right at the Indiana border. I had heard there was an off road park but now, thanks to you, I have all the information I need. It sounds great and there seems to be a little bit of everything. Thanks a lot.

  2. I’ve been Jeeping for a couple of years now but I’ve never been to a park before. This one sounds awesome but I’m wondering if I’m ready for a couple of the challenges there. I’ve never heard of shear drop offs and bottomless mud. I guess there’s always a first time for everything.

  3. My buddy just called to tell me that we’re headin out next weekend to this very park. It sounds terrific. He’s the one that’s into Jeeping but I get to go along occasionally and I have to admit it’s growing on me.

  4. I work for one of the company’s that was instrumental in getting this park up and running. We got to do a lot of testing as the park area’s were completed. I liked it so much that I went out and bought myself an older Jeep so I could keep enjoying the fun. I never thought I would like Jeeping but I sure do.

  5. Man, I was bummed out. This park is practically in my back yard and I have a dune buggy. When I took it over last weekend I found out that they don’t allow dune buggy’s. But then, I got to thinking, I could sell the dune buggy and buy a Jeep. Same great fun in a great vehicle, and I could use the Jeep on the road where the dune buggy is not street legal. I’m on a mission.

  6. They sure named this park aptly. It is one bad place with a capital B. I can’t think of one experience missing in this park. The day flew by and I had more fun packed into that one day than my last 10 day vacation. It was cheaper too!

  7. This is a great park. I’ve been there twice and I’m ready for another trip. I have to do it over a long weekend as it takes me 8 1/2 hours each way. It’s well worth the drive.

  8. 800 hundred acres is a lot of ground to cover. It sounds like a terrific place to while away a Saturday. I haven’t been off road for the last couple of weeks so I’m ready for a real adventure.

  9. My buddy and I ran this park for the first time last weekend. It was totally awesome. By the time we left the park, we were exhausted. It was a great day and we can’t wait to get back.

  10. This Sunday will be my first trip to this particular park. I’m really looking forward to it. A buddy of mine has been several times and he raves about it. We’re going to meet there in our respective Jeeps. It should be a fun day.
