20th French Lick Classic Oct. 8-10, 2009 French Lick Indiana

The Midwest has some of the best backcountry terrain for off-roading it is no wonder the Jeep Jamboree houses some of the most exciting events in this region. The 2009 French Lick Jeep Jamboree is nestled in the hills of southern Indiana and is filled with rocks water and mud holes. The countryside itself is a scenic backdrop of picturesque frontier times while wild turkey, quail, fox, and deer cross your trails as you work your way across the countryside.

The French Lick Jeep Jamboree has been stated by many to be one of the best Jamborees to be had. If the trails are dry it is a great course for the less experienced but wet can be a great challenge for even the most experienced.

As always, the camaraderie with fellow off-roading Jeep enthusiast is great. Time is running short to get in on the action at the 2009 French Lick Jamboree and although there is some space available still, it is limited. So if you are interested in taking part of this jamboree you need to call direct to the Jeep Jamboree registration at 530-333-4777 extension 18.

Below is a video of some of the action at the French Lick Jamboree you can partake in.

"You're telling me it's got four wheels, two seats and goes faster than the speed limit? Good, I'm driving."

  1. That looked so cool. I’ve never been off road, heck I don’t even have a car I could take off road. I might have to see about getting an old jeep. I could do the work on it myself so I could probably get one cheap enough.

  2. That really looks like fun. I’ve never been off road but the more I see, the more I think I would like it. I have the Jeep already. I got my Wrangler about 2 years ago. I guess it’s about time.

  3. I’m signed up and ready to go. This will be my second Jamboree and I’m thinking this one will be as good or better than the last because I’ve got a little more experience under my belt. I’ve met some really cool people since buying my Jeep and I’m sure there will be several new ones this year. Keep up the good reporting!

  4. Indiana has some interesting terrain and with the fall colors starting to show I bet this is going to be an outstanding meet. I know it’s too late for this year but I’m going to have to give this one a shot next fall.

  5. I live right near the Illinois/Indiana border. I don’t have a Jeep, or know anyone who does. I’m just thinking it would be a lot of fun to go over and watch and cheer the drivers on. Maybe I could even catch a ride with one of the participants. Sounds like a fantastic weekend.
