Trail Hogs Jeep Club ~ Cedar Rapids Iowa

Here is another club I would like to bring to everyone’s attention, especially those Jeepers and Off-Roaders in the Iowa/Illinois region. The Trail Hogs Jeep Club is located in the Cedar Rapids area of Iowa. It is a family oriented club with members from all over the state of Iowa and Illinois. The trails they run are generally that of medium difficulty, but have alternative routes for those with stock 4×4’s.

At this time, the Trail Hogs are looking for more land to use. As a group they state they are “dedicated to land conservation and responsible use of this country’s limited supply of land available to our sport.” If you are in this region and can give them any suggestions I am sure they would be very appreciative.

More about the Trail Hogs:
“TrailHogs Jeep Club was founded in the year 2000, at the time we had 127 acres of public land to use for our sport; the DNR had leased this property in 2007 from the Federal Government and limited access to this small piece of land to ATV use only. At this time our club remains alive on the internet; on occasion we get together as a social group.”

The Trail Hogs website has a nice Forum/Chat area you may want to check out as well. If you know of any land they can run or would just like to chat with likeminded individuals, hop onto their forum.

  1. I have a cousin who lives in Cedar Rapids and he recently joined this club. I talk to him at least once a week and he’s pretty excited about the activities planned for this season. He’s been after to me to plan my vacation to coincide with some of the events. I’m the one who got him turned on to off road driving with my Jeep. Within a year, he had his own. Now that he’s joined a club, I’ll always know where to find him.

  2. I live in Iowa City which isn’t far from Cedar Rapids. I’ve just purchased my first Jeep and was looking for a club to join. It’s a plus that the Trail Hogs is so close. I’ve been told that to get the maximum fun and benefit you need to belong to a club so I’ll be checking this one out. I really like your site. There is a lot of good info here. I’ll be back!

  3. That’s a cool sounding name for a club and I like the logo too. I just recently got my first Jeep and I’m looking for a club to join. I live in Iowa but Cedar Rapids is quite a distance to travel. Not to far to go for an occasional event though. I’ll be watching for that.

  4. I live in down state Illinois, probably too far away for membership in this club. I’m hoping to find one close enough to get really involved in.

  5. My company is relocating to Cedar Rapids and I’m moving with them. I’ll be leaving the club I’ve belonge to in Illinois and will be looking forward to joining this one. I hope it offers as many activities. If not, I’ll have to be a pro active member and get them jump started.
