If you could off road anywhere, where would it be?

Planet Mars and the Lander

I asked the Fan’s on the XtremeTerrain Facebook Fan Page and would like to ask you blog readers as well, – “If you could go Jeep Off roading anywhere, where would it be?” The reason for asking this question was three-fold, to see if there where clubs/trails I have yet to share on this blog; two.. to see what was considered the hot spots; and three… so anyone reading who was considering trying a new spot could get some valuable feedback from other seasoned off roaders. Here are what the fans of XtremeTerrain came up with:

Jeremy H. “Chernobyl!”

Chris C.  “Mars, just because it would be the ultimate off-roading!” (Now if we could just figure out how to get to the planet, I would be game as well!)

Keenan Eli B.   “Any island in the South Pacific that hasn’t had any Jeeps on it yet.”

Matthew John L.   “Take a TJ to Alaska”

Alan M.   “Bolivia or Peru expedition would be awesome!”  (I have to agree.. that would be an interesting tour!)

Mark G., Traci C., Bill F., Teresa M., and Steve R. all stated Moab

Traci C. picked Colorado as well

and Steve R. included “Moab 1st……Rubicon Trail 2nd……and then ALL the little mining roads in CO, UT, AZ, NM, CA……Basically, I’d outfit a tractor trailer…..and literally SEE THE COUNTRY!” (Can I come with? LOL!)

Camilla S.   “Grand Canyon! NOT! I’m too chicken! LOL”

Brett D.   “Washington D.C. all over the city!”

Lee B.   “Arizona”

Joseph K.   “Down Under, Mate!”  ( I agree, that would be a good time!)

Dean K.  “Washington State”

DawnMarie L.   “Utah has the best off roading. Lots of different types of trails from easy to extreme.”   (Yep DawnMarie.. I agree and I am not biased at all! LOL!)

  1. I’m worried about Jeremy and why he would have picked Chernobyl! I think my pick would have to be the mountains and valleys in Arizona although I’m happy where ever I can find trails that take me off of the beaten path.

  2. I love driving along the ocean and getting in some rock climbing at the same time. I always have a great time when I go off road, there are so many trails to find and try.

  3. The mountains of Montana call to me all the time. I got a taste of them when I was sent there to work for 6 months on a project. I’d love to move there but I haven’t been able to find work. I still have high hopes that eventually I’ll get back there for good.

  4. I think the Rocky Mountains would be a great place for off road driving. There are all types of terrains and levels of difficulty. If I could only go one place that would be it. It’s a good thing that we have more than one choice. There’s always another hill, valley of river to be conquered.

  5. I’ve been so many great places I would be hard pressed to pick out just one. I like all kinds of terrain so that wouldn’t help me decide. I’ve never tried water, that might be a kick. I guess I don’t have an answer for this one.
