  1. My brother does have a ’73 Commando and let me tell you it never looked as good as the one in your picture, even when it was brand new. He has mentioned several times that he wished he could get a new top. I’m not sure he even realizes that he really could. He’s had to top repaired several times and while the rest of the vehicle is in really good condition the top detracts from the overall looks. I’m going to send him this link to let him know! Thanks for the info.

  2. I agree and it’s why I do a lot of things, just because it’s cool. That’s true especially with my Jeep. I enjoy making changes that enhance the appearance. I like it when other people make comments about it or give me a thumbs up or ask about what and why I’ve made all of the changes. There are worse things I could be doing with my money.

  3. Maybe you should have defined “decked out”. I’ve made a few changes but none of them too drastic. I like the looks of my Commando, it’s pretty cool in my book, but then the guys have told me I’m easy.

  4. I’ve been looking for a Commando to buy but no one wants to sell. If anyone knows of one that’s available and it’s in decent shape I’d love to hear about it.

  5. A friend of mine has a Commando and it’s a great looking hunk of metal. I’ve tried to talk him into selling it to me and he just laughs at me. I’ve offered him a good amount of money but he told me there isn’t enough money around to make him sell it. I understand what he means. If it were mine I wouldn’t be willing to sell it either.
