13th Penn’s Woods Jeep Jamboree ~ Bradford, Pennsylvania

13th Penn’s Woods Jeep Jamboree

13th Penn’s Woods Jeep Jamboree
Where: Bradford, Pennsylvania
When: Jun 17-Jun 19, 2010

Details about the 13th Penn’s Woods Jeep Jamboree from the Jeep Jamboree official website:

“The Allegheny Highlands are aptly named! With views that go on for miles, you’ll travel through pristine forests that rarely see visitors. Penn’s Woods trails provide light scenic challenges, medium challenging trails for the more adventurous, or difficult trails for the seasoned driver. Each trail level has a variety of hills to climb, mud to traverse, and rocks to negotiate. Nearby are oil history museums and the remains of the Kinzua Train Viaduct, once considered the eighth wonder of the world. Also of interest is a new World War II museum in nearby Eldred. Come see for yourself all Penn’s Woods and Pennsylvania have to offer!
Tow hooks mandatory”

"You're telling me it's got four wheels, two seats and goes faster than the speed limit? Good, I'm driving."

  1. I live in New York, but this is not that bad of a drive. I’ve never been to Penn’s Woods but it sounds like I need to give it a try. I’m fairly new to the Jeep world but I love it. I have heard of the Kinzua Train Viaduct and would like to see it also. If this event is in it’s 13th year, they must be doing something right and I’m surely going to find out.

  2. This is only about 65 miles from my parents home. I’ve checked with them and we’re going to be able to visit with them and attend the Jamboree. This will be one of the best summers we’ve had in a while. Nothing like getting home and vacationing on the side.

  3. We’ve attended several of the jamboree’s in the past and are looking forward to this one as well. We like the range of trails available. My wife is a powder puff so she sticks to the easy trails. I’m more of the dare devil and it doesn’t get to tough for me. It’s a great trip and we enjoy it every time we take it.

  4. We’ve attended this event for the last 3 years, ever since we moved to this part of the country. The Allegheny Highlands are truly a sight to behold. I lived in the midwest and as you know, that’s some might flat land! The mountains are a refreshing change of scenery and this event has become the highlight of our summer.

  5. We attended the jamboree last year and hung around a couple of extra days to see some of the historic sites. We didn’t get to see everything so I think we’ll be doing the same thing again this year. It’s a pretty section of the country and we really had a great time. We’re all looking forward to a repeat.

  6. I love the area, particularly the trails. I live fairly close so I get there several times a year. The event just makes it all that much better than going there by myself. It’s great to see the people I’ve met over the years.
