Twisted Trails Off Road Park

Hi everyone… I was going through all the XtremeTerrain Facebook Friends and Fans pages today and came across quite a few groups, organizations, trails, and parks that I think deserve a shout out. Today’s is the Twisted Trails Off Road Park.

Here is a bit I found out about them on their website:
“We have been involved with four wheeling for many years, allowing our club to offer the extreme off roading experience with tons of fun.”

“Our club has opened an off road park called the Twisted Trails Off Road Park, located 35 miles South West of Traverse Ciy, Michigan, and 11 miles due West of Mesick, Michigan, near the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort. The park offers year around wheeling of all sorts for all atv’s, dirt bikes and 4×4 off road vehicles, including a full race facility, numerous mild to wild trail rides, mud boggs, mud drags, Picker Valley and a very rigorous obstacle course/scramble areas. Check us out or our featured obstacle courses Holey Moley and Twisted.”

“The park is open every Saturday and Sunday May 2nd through November 7th. Monthly events are held throughout the year.”

"You're telling me it's got four wheels, two seats and goes faster than the speed limit? Good, I'm driving."

  1. This park is actually pretty close to where I live. I have a few places I can drive off road but this sounds like they have a pretty wide range of terrains. I’m not wild about the fact that it’s not totally Jeeps, but beggars can’t be choosers.

  2. Which is it, year round or May to November? I love driving on the snow too so that’s really important to me. It’s about 80 miles from where I live, so it’s an easy drive for a weekend stay.

  3. I have a dirt bike and a Jeep. I use this park often for both and have a ball no matter what I’m driving. The park is clean and the the rates are reasonable and the trails are down right awesome. The people are friendly too. It’s an all around good experience.

  4. We visited this park over the weekend and had a blast. I wondered how it would be with so many types of vehicles allowed, but it wasn’t a problem at all. We’ll be going back again, and soon.

  5. I went to visit my cousin last week and he took me to this park. I wish we had a facility like this anywhere close to where I live. Illinois is as flat as a pancake. I normally work 6 days a week so it’s not feasible to drive to Wisconsin for off road action. I only get 2 weeks of vacation a year so it’ll be a while before I have a chance to go back.

  6. The Twisted Trails Off Road Park is a terrific place. Some of the trails are tame enough even for a new driver. There are harder trails for the more experienced driver too. It’s an awesome area and the people are really nice. It’s just an all around great experience.
