A Couple Events of MudNY

Last week I posted a blog about an off roading club called Mud NY . Well, they have a couple events coming up and are extending a warm invite to any who would like to attend. The first is not a trail run but rather a group of off roaders getting together to create a new trail.

Here are the details to this event:

Making New Trail will take place August 21 • 10:00am – 5:00pm
At 42.289278, -76.021442 Maine, NY

For directions please go to the follow url: Google maps or here: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=42.289278%2C+-76.021442&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wl

Those participating will meet at 10 AM and if not present at that time, the group will have to start. Concern for late comers is that it may be difficult for everyone to meet back up.

Please bring tools to help make trails. Anything you think might be useful.-Chainsaws, Tow straps, Long Ropes, etc. Bring some friends. MudNy is looking forward to making this a fun event despite the hard work that is involved in creating new trails.

The next event is “MUD NY running with Xterra’s”. All 4×4’s are welcomed to this event. It is being held on September 18 at 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM. The location of the event is Dragon’s Gorge (42°38’13.70″N 75°11’31.10″W), 203 Kenneth a Harrington Rd. in Garrattsville, NY.

At the current time this is all the information I have on this event but more information will be added to the MudNY Facebook Fan Page. MudNY states that “There are plenty of trails for everyone! Please invite all your friends to this event, it would be great to have a lot of people show up.”

If you have an upcoming event you would like for us to give a shout out to, send us a message on our Facebook and we will do our best to help out!

"You're telling me it's got four wheels, two seats and goes faster than the speed limit? Good, I'm driving."

  1. Man did this sound like a super opportunity or what?! I’ve always wondered how people decide on the where and how of trails. Guess I’ll have to wonder some more since this happened today. Serves me right for not checking your site recently. I promise to do better and hope there will be another opportunity of this type in the future.

  2. I’ve been to Dragon’s Gorge before and had a great time. I’m not real wild about attending events where all types of 4 wheelers are invited. Call me a Jeep freak and I’ll tell you right out that I am.

  3. Reed and Tanner. You are both welcome to check out our club. Please visit our website for more information and links to the facebook pages where you can find the events listed.
