If you are like many off roaders’, travel is not out of the question if the terrain is great and there is fun to be had. Many plan their vacations around off roading. If you are looking for a you really should get in touch with Jeff Hiltz on FaceBook and check out the Nova Scotia Jeep Club. Jeff tells us “We have an awesome club out here in Nova Scotia…they do a lot of fundraisers for different charities, have an awesome selection of trails from one end of the province to the other…We also have Severe weather assistance team, that’s responsible for getting doctors and nurses to their hospitals when the weather is unfit for regular vehicles…” That alone is pretty impressive!
Now lately I haven’t had much luck uploading videos and today is no different but if you want to check out a clip from the Nova Scotia Jeep Club in action, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4Z9PNY_bsM
Here is some more from the Nova Scotia Jeep Club Website:
“We would like to take this opportunity to share a little NSJC history. The club was formed in 1998 by a small group of people, ‘The Founding Members,’ to enjoy their Jeeps in the great outdoors. They formed a club that was family oriented, non-competitive and community based with a zero tolerance policy for alcohol and illicit drugs on the trail. The goal of the club is to promote this sport and responsible off-roading principles.
Now, many years later, the club has grown to over 100 members throughout this vast province we like to call home. Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds, all having a common interest in Jeeps and Jeeping.
This club has brought together many people from across the province, who are always there for each other without question. The NSJC is a family of friends who own Jeeps and enjoy the sport of off-roading.
If this sounds interesting to you, please feel free to contact us through the links on the “who’s who” page of this site or on our discussion forum.
Hope to see you on the trails.
President-North Nova Chapter”
