7th Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree 2011 Lano Texas

In an attempt to try to stay ahead of the game in refreshing everyone’s memories about upcoming Jeep Jamborees.. I am going to try to post these a couple months early prior to date of Jamboree. Information has been obtained from the official Jeep Jamboree Website

7th Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree
Lano Texas
Mar 24-Mar 26 2011

Saddle up and hit trails in the heart of Texas Hill Country. This Jamboree offers some of the most challenging terrain in Texas. Held at the historic Inks Ranch, this trip includes granite domes, rock climbs, sandy draws and several scenic vistas. Located near Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, our trail system winds around Watch Mountain, a 300-ft wall of granite. You may even spot some wildlife, such as aoudad, axis deer, blackbuck, and bald eagles!

"You're telling me it's got four wheels, two seats and goes faster than the speed limit? Good, I'm driving."

  1. I cut my teeth in this neck of the woods. My grandpa has a ranch not far off the beaten path. Gramps was my driving coach and I still get him to take a ride with me occasionally. The Jamboree is one you won’t want to miss. Been there the last 2 years and I’ll be there again in March.

  2. Tow hooks mandatory is music to my ears. If they tell you that, they know the territory pretty well. I like what I see in the picture too. I imagine the Texas ‘Spur’ is another way to tell you that you’ll be ‘digging in’ for more fun and excitement than you’ve had in a while. I’ll have to finagle some time off, but if I get it, you better believe my next stop will be right back here to sign up for a memorable weekend.

  3. I missed the first year but I’ve been one of the first arrivals every year since. I wouldn’t miss another one for the world. It’s a great time and the people are some of the best in the state. Hope to see you there!
