Save Money with Jeep Engine Tune Up Kits

Tune Up Kit for 1994-96 Jeep Cherokee XJ 6 CYL 4.0L

One of the most important things that you can do for your Jeep is to keep it tuned up. A tuned Jeep has better gas mileage, runs more smoothly, and will last much longer than a Jeep that is not properly tuned. Many people do not keep their Jeeps tuned up because of the costs involved. If you take your Jeep to a mechanic it can cost hundreds, depending on the mechanic you go to and exactly what needs to be done. Another problem is that not all mechanics are completely trustworthy. Some of them will overcharge.

To avoid both being overcharged and having to pay more than you really are prepared to you could simply skip the tune ups that your Jeep needs. Or you can take care of tuning your Jeep up yourself with one of the many available Jeep engine tune up kits. These kits can save you a lot of time and money. You buy them based on your particular model of Jeep. For example, if you own a 1987-1990 Jeep Wrangler, then you would purchase a special kit made just for that Jeep. It is important that you choose a kit that is specifically made for your Jeep, because Jeep engine tune up kits that are made for others could actually harm your Jeep.

Jeep engine tune up kits come with everything that you need to tune your jeep and keep it running smoothly. The kits include air, oil, and fuel filters, rotor buttons, distributor caps, spark plugs, and high performance suppression cable spark plug wires. If your particular model of Jeep doesn’t require these pieces, then you will not find them in the kit. As long as you ordered the proper kit, you don’t have to worry if something isn’t included.

"You're telling me it's got four wheels, two seats and goes faster than the speed limit? Good, I'm driving."

  1. I have to wonder if it comes with instructions. I don’t think John could change a tire without help, let alone tune up an engine. I change the oil, because it’s easier than trying to show him and explain the procedure. My Daddy made sure I knew how to do basic maintenance on my cars. John’s Dad just did his for him. The first time I told him that I’d take care of the oil change I swear he gave me the ‘deer in the headlights’ look. I just laughed and told him it wasn’t brain surgery. I wonder though, if with a little direction, I could do it? I’m calling my Daddy right now to see if he’s up to another lesson in mechanics.
