Featured Off-Road Jeep Park – Miller Motorsports Park – Salt Lake City, Utah

Nestled in the Tooele Valley just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, Miller Motorsports Park is one of the premier motorsports facilities in the world.
The park consists of a 3-mile road course that can be run in four different configurations, and they have recently built an off-road park for those who like to take their motorsport fun away from the asphalt.

Miller Motorsports Park is a state-of-the-art facility, and when these guys decide to do something they always build it to a very high standard. The off-road park is no different.

The park is man-made and it started as a completely flat piece of desert on the northwest corner of the facility. Dirt was used to form obstacles and then sprayed with concrete to seal it and give it a rock-type texture. There are also some natural rocks that have been integrated into the park as well.

“You can really get to know your Jeep in a controlled environment, allowing you to test your Jeep to every level it has and find your limitations,” said Miller Off-Road manager John Williams. “It better prepares you for off-roading in places like Moab or other uncontrolled environments.”

"You're telling me it's got four wheels, two seats and goes faster than the speed limit? Good, I'm driving."

  1. I bought an old jeep about 6 months ago and I’ve been working on it ever since. I think it’s just about ready for an off road experience. Miller Motorsports Park sounds like the ideal place for a first timer to get accustomed to the sport. It’s only about a 6 hour drive for me to get there so it’s doable in a weekend. I’ll let you know how it is.

  2. Most people have a Jeep and go looking for off road sites. I saw this off road site and went looking for a Jeep. I found it too. I have a couple of repairs I need to make before I can begin Jeeping. I figure within a couple or three weeks I’ll be ready to roll.

  3. That was totally cool. I’ve been a rock climber for about 6 years now, but I’ve never taken a vehicle rock climbing. I think I may have found another sport I can get into. There’s less equipment involved too.

  4. This is the first I’ve heard of this park. It sounds good. I’ll have to get out the map and figure out the logistics but it is firmly in the planning stage. I’ll let you know what I think.

  5. I’ve been there, done it and had a great time. I really like the idea that there are several ways to test your skills and give the Jeep a good workout. It’s impressive that they turned a piece of desert into the terrain it is now. It doesn’t hurt that the park is only an hour away.

  6. Utah is a great place to live and an even greater place to head off road. Miller’s Motorsports Park is one of my favorite destinations. If I have a chance to talk one of my friends into joining me, it’s where I’ll take them almost every time. More than one of them has turned into a Jeep owner after an outing with me.
