Arizona XJ – Arizona

In keeping with trying to bring to the forefront all of the available off roading groups around the state, I bring to you today Arizona XJ located in Arizona. The Arizona XJ group was suggested to us by Bruce Farthing. If you know of a group that we haven’t featured yet, please let us know and we will add it to our list. Please provide the URL with your suggestion. If the site does not have a current website, give us some background information and address and we will get it posted.

Here is some information about Arizona XJ from their official website: The group also has a Facebook page, which you can find under the name ArizonaXJ Club.

The Arizona XJ Club has been together for nearly 11 years and is a club for Jeep Cherokee owners. Most people refer to the club as AZXJ. The group is very active on their main website, their Facebook page, and their Yahoo group. On their main page you can a good bit of information about the club, such as the fact that they support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Internation (JDRF) and the counter which is busily counting down to the 2011 Annual Arizona XJ Pyeatte Draw0Run, an event held April 31st to May 2nd for all sizes of Jeep Cherokees.

On the group site you can find a list of members, along with the specs of their vehicles and pictures of them on the trail. There is also a gallery that is currently being perfected and a small store where you can order gear such as shirts and vinyl stickers.

  1. I just received some pictures from my nephew who has a home near Phoenix. The mountains there are incredible and I’d love to have a chance to try my skills on some of them. I’m going to see if I can coordinate a visit near the end of April so I can attend this event also. I bet he would be a willing passenger too. Hope to see a lot of you there.

  2. Guess this wouldn’t do for me. I traded the Cherokee for a Wrangler about a year ago. There are some things I miss with the change, but there are a whole list of things I like much better about the Wrangler. It was stock when I got it but I’ve already made several changes and am in the process of making several more. I’m about 3 weeks from being road ready. Look out Arizona, Tory is off the road!

  3. The wife and I are getting ready to retire and move to Arizona. We are a Jeep family and have a Wrangler as well as a Cherokee. We’ll be doing a bit more research to find out where the club meets, but it’s one we would be very interested in joining if it works out. Love the features you have on all of the different clubs.
