Each year Jeep releases a cool special edition that always drive Jeep lovers wild and make them wish they had one of their own. The 2012 must-have Jeep is the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Altitude Edition. One look at this sexy vehicle and it is easy to tell why it will sell out and sell out fast.
The exterior of the car is a sleek monochromatic paint job available in Black Cherry Red, Black, Bright White or Bright Metallic Silver with all black trim. This monochromatic vide extends all the way to the matching hardtop. The exterior is tied together with a matte black Jeep grille, a Mopar black fuel fill door and a black tone-on-tone hood graphic.
The black and red theme continues on the interior of the Jeep Unlimited Altitude edition. The most apparent of the red touches would be the stitching found on the seats, door panels, center arm rest, floor mats and steering wheel. The black elements are found on steering-wheel spokes, the rings around the vents, door pulls and the passenger side “oh bleep handles”.
Interior features include a newly redesigned instrument panel with more storage areas, improved ergonomics, and upgrade materials. There is a lockable console, upgraded armrests on the door with better comfort and a newly appointed center stack that is said to be easier to operate.
One of the best things about this edition of the Jeep Wrangler is that is come complete with everything a Jeep enthusiast needs to simply drive it from the showroom to the trail without even having to stop for gas. Jeep has equipment this edition of the Wrangler with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine which makes it perfect for driving around town or bopping across a tough trail ride. An automatic transmission is standard.
The V-6 engine delivers 285 horses and 260 pounds of torque while still getting up to 21 miles per gallon on the highway. This is an improvement on the older engine that had 40% less horsepower and 10 percent less torque. These stats sure to please trail lovers.
This edition can be had in either a 4×2 or a 4×4. Pricing for the 4×2 is $33,740 while you can grab a 4×4 for just under $36K at $35,595. If you are interested in owning one you better hurry because only 4,500 them hit the showroom floors in May of 2012. At this price they are sure to sell pretty fast.
