Benefits of a Jeep Off Roading Club

If you are getting into the Jeep lifestyle and have recently joined the world of off roaders, you should seriously consider joining an off roading club. These clubs offer many benefits that you would not think of. Not only will you have the camaraderie of others sharing your lifestyle choices, but you will also have access to a support network that you wouldn’t believe.

Here are some of the top reasons to join an off roading club.

  1. You will have buddies to go off roading with. It is always best to go off road with a buddy or two or three or more. This way if something goes wrong you have someone there to help you. You should never go off road alone.
  2. If you are dumb enough, or inexperienced enough, to go off roading alone, you will have someone to call on if you get stuck. Anything could go wrong when you are out on the trail. Something could break or stop working, you could flip, or worse you could roll your Jeep. Having someone to call that can get you out of sticky situations can be a blessing in disguise.
  3. Many club members will do anything to help out a fellow member. This includes swapping parts and helping with upgrades and Jeep modifications. Some clubs spend every weekend together, and work on someone’s rig nearly every weekend. If you have a lot of work to do on your off road vehicle, this is a great way to get some help with it. Just remember that you have to be willing to help out on someone else’s vehicle as well.
  4. Having off road buddies is more like having another family than having friends. Everyone watches out for everyone else.
  5. You can get a lot of advice and tips on how to modify your vehicle or what to do when you take your vehicle out on the trail from people who have already been there. Even newer off roading groups often have at least one or two members that are very experienced in off roading and Jeep mods. This advice and help can go a long way to a beginner.

Of course, all of these benefits can only be had if you choose the right off roading club. Visit a club and attend a meeting or two, maybe go on an outing, before you decide for sure that the group is for you.

  1. I don’t think I would ever go off roading alone, I’d be scared to. Although, my husband has been asking me to go with him recently. I’ll have to see if there’s some type of truck we can rent, I’m sure he’d be very happy if we went this weekend.
