This past weekend marked the beginning of the Philadelphia Auto Show where Jeep was determined to make a statement with their new Wranglers. With by far the biggest display area and an indoor replicated off-roading course, Jeep let event attendees test drive the new 2013 JK over a simulated rock garden, dirt mound and vertical incline – a pretty cool idea and a great experience for anyone looking to purchase a new Wrangler or Grand Cherokee. Check out Pictures from the show and Jeep’s obstacle course!
Vertical inclines and 45 degree dirt mounds are not usually part of a typical test driving experience and those who test drove a Jeep vehicle at the 2013 Philly Auto Show went for a ride that was anything but typical. Would-be Wrangler owners over the age of 18 with a legal driver’s license were allowed to take a new 2013 Wrangler for a spin through the indoor obstacle course located in the center of the Philadelphia convention center. The Jeep course and display area was by far the largest spectacle at the event and drew boat loads of attention throughout the course of the show.
Obstacles like these may not be quite as fun as a real off-roading experience but I’m sure Jeep enthusiasts appreciated their company taking note that a lot of Wrangler owners do in fact take their JKs off the streets and into the mud and rugged terrain from time to time.
