As we get closer to the release of the 2018 JL Jeep Wrangler, more of the camouflage comes off, giving us a better look at the exterior styling. Originally reported on by our friends over at JLWranglerForums.com, we get some up close and detailed shots of the new Wrangler exposing its front grille to the world.
2018 Jeep Wrangler Grille
In the spy shots captured, most of the JL Wrangler’s body lines are obstructed from view via plastic covering/camouflage, but what is left right out in the open is the grille. The images of the 2018 Wrangler’s Grille show an angular design, with a slope that is angled back toward the windshield at the top. The spacing between the slats seems to be wider as well.
While not a huge departure from the previous-gen Wrangler’s grille, it is a noticeable change in the look which compliments the elongated front end. Aside from the angle, the Wrangler seems to maintain the iconic slated grille design that has become a hallmark of the brand.
2018 Jeep Wrangler LED Headlights
The other design feature that was noticed in these spy photos are the front headlights. While heavily obscured by camouflage, you can make out the headlights through the see-thru mesh material. It appears as though they are using LED style Headlights on the JL Wrangler, but it is too hard to say definitively as of yet.
