Images have recently leaked online which give us a preview of the front-end and rear of the new 2018 JL Wrangler, but it may possibly be the 2019 JT Wrangler Pickup. Originally reported on by JLWranglerForums, these images were captured by a quick-reacting attendee at a FCA Dealer event.
New Jeep Models Confirmed
These images were featured on a poster at a FCA Dealer meeting, showing the entire current and future Jeep lineup. In the future Jeep model lineup, there were two new models confirmed: the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. This is of course in addition to the 2018 JL Wrangler and the 2019 JT Wrangler Pickup Truck.
2018 Jeep Wrangler Design Details Confirmed
These poster images seem to confirm two new design aspects which we have already suspected of being added to the iconic Wrangler’s design. One being the European style front bumper which extends the length of the Wrangler to meet the fenders. The second is the addition of LED turn signal strips integrated into the fender flares, something we have seen them testing in spy photos.
On the rear of the vehicle, things look pretty standard and like not much has been changed. Which to be fair, isn’t a bad thing as the design of the Wrangler is one of the most treasured by automotive enthusiasts.
Could This Be The 2019 JT Wrangler Pickup Truck?
The one eyebrow raising aspect of these images is that in the rear view of the vehicle, you cannot see the classic Jeep Greenhouse, i.e. rear cabin area, which has some (including myself) wondering if these are images of the 2019 JT Pickup Truck.
However, it doesn’t matter too much as both the 2018 JL Wrangler and 2019 JT Pickup will share a large amount of design cues. The styling of both will be pretty similar amongst the two as well as the Sport and Unlimited versions as well.
