Possible Delay In The Reveal Of The New 2018 JL Wrangler

The great reveal of the highly anticipated upcoming redesigned 2018 JL Wrangler might be delayed. According to the Detroit News, Mike Manley, head of the Jeep brand, stated that the new Wrangler was originally slated to be unveiled in the first half of 2017, with a scheduled launch in November of 2017. Instead, Manley has now stated that the Wrangler “probably” won’t be revealed until the second half of the year.

Manley was quick to reassure that the new Wrangler “is looking fantastic”, but declined to provide any specifics or additional information on the new generation Wrangler and the cause for the potential delay with the unveiling. In addition, Manley maintains that the new Wrangler is still on schedule for a November 2017 production launch.

Gilles also commented that “The Wrangler is a critical pilot light of the brand, because of how much we’ve invested in Jeep, the Wrangler can remain true to itself. We’re not trying to make the Wrangler be what it’s not meant to be.” Recognizing the vehicle’s importance to the Jeep nameplate and reassuring the loyal fan base that there’s nothing to fear.

Manley concluded that the equally anticipated Jeep pickup, that will be based off the upcoming JL Wrangler, is still slated for a mid-2018 launch.
