A North Carolina Jeep Club ~ Vertical Excursions Jeep Club

Vertical Excursions Jeep Club, based out of Raleigh, NC is a mostly Jeep Club, but open to other vehicles as well. Here is a link to their website: http://www.verticalexcursions.com

I grabbed some information about the Vertical Excursions Jeep Club off their website to share with you all so if anyone is interested in joining you have some details before visiting. Sounds like a nice Jeep Club to join if you are in the state North Carolina!

“Welcome to the Vertical Excursions Jeep Club Website

The Vertical Excursions club was formed to allow Jeep owners to get together and truly experience Jeep ownership. Jeep vehicles are some of the most capable off-road vehicles in the world. Club members embrace this fact and pursue challenges that allow them to experience these capabilities first hand.

Club meetings are held once a month to discuss upcoming events and swap stories about events gone by. Meetings are currently scheduled on the second Thursday of the month. Trail rides are typically held on the following Sunday.

Who can join?

Any Jeep owner with an interest in four-wheel recreation is eligible for membership. No modifications are required for membership. We have many members with stock or near stock Jeeps, and a stock Jeep is a very capable vehicle. Each new potential member must find a current member to “sponsor” them before they can join.

What if I’ve never been off-highway?

No problem. The club has many members, all with different levels of experience. Some are just learning the basics of four-wheeling, while others have been doing it for years. Special care is taken on every trail ride to advise newcomers and teach some basic four wheeling.

Do I need a heavily modified Jeep?

No, a stock Jeep is a very capable vehicle. Most trails offer a variety of terrain for Jeeps of all types. We do use a trail rating system to classify trail difficulty, so if a trail may be considered too difficult, you will be able to judge by this scale. If you have any doubts or questions, just ask another club member.”

  1. That’s my club and it’s one of the best in the U.S. I started Jeeping about 2 years ago so I’ve sort of ‘grown up’ in this club. It’s a lot of fun watching new comers join and learn the basics. I’ve made a lot of friends and had some great times.

  2. I really enjoy reading about all of the clubs across the US. It gives me another link to summer off road trips. I’ve seen a lot of the US this way and enjoyed every trip I’ve ever made.

  3. Vertical Excursions sounds like a cool club. I’ve been considering joining one but I wanted to look around first. I just moved here a couple of months ago and wanted to pick the right club before making a move to join.

  4. What a terrific name for a club. I like reading about other clubs and hope that one day you will feature our club on your site. I always take note of where the clubs are located so I can check on events that they sponsor.
