We just got an update om the 2019 JT Wrangler Pickup Truck and it looks like it is dropping later than expected. At the LA Autoshow, Jeep CEO Mike Manley gave the scoop on what’s going down with the highly anticipated Wrangler Pickup Truck.
Mid-2018 Release For The JT Wrangler Pickup
The 2019 JT Wrangler Pickup Truck looks like it will be coming out mid-2018, which theoretically could make it a 2018 model, however it is likely that it will come out late enough in the year to make it a 2019 model. This isn’t too surprising considering how we haven’t seen too much of the new Wrangler pickup, aside from some spy photos and incredible renders.
While we have already reported on some of the design details and supposed powertrain specs, it’ll be curious to see what, if any, tweaks Jeep makes to the Wrangler Pickup Truck before it gets released.
2018 Wrangler Still A Few Months Away
Along with confirming the 2019 JT Wrangler’s arrival date, Mike Manley also gave us a little bit of insight into the 2018 JL Wrangler’s production. According to Manley, the 2018 JL Jeep Wrangler will be released in the second half of 2017. With this bit of info, we can assume that we will see the new Wrangler somewhere between July and November of 2017.
What Else Is Jeep Working On?
Aside from the 2018 JL Wrangler and the 2019 JT Wrangler Pickup Truck, Jeep has been hard at work with another exciting vehicle; The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. What once started out as rumors and has grown into something more and more concrete, it looks like Jeep is going to be releasing a Hellcat powered Jeep Grand Cherokee that will be making over 700 HP. Essentially it is a more road focused version of the Grand Cherokee as opposed to other packages that are more focused on off-roading- a balance that Mike Manley appreciates about the brand.
I don’t mind waiting a few more months for a Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck, but 2018 can’t come quick enough! Would you like to see a hellcat powered Wrangler or is that something Jeep should keep exclusive to the Grand Cherokee? Comment your thoughts below!
